Profile of the Graduate at Graduation - Physically Fit

By graduation, the Loyola student has begun to develop to one's potential in a healthy, strong, well-coordinated body.
More specifically, the Loyola student at graduation:
- knows the fundamentals of human physiology and physical development
- is aware of methods for maintaining personal health
- knows the fundamentals of several lifetime recreational activities and participates in physical exercise on a regular basis
- knows major local, national and global health problems and some of their potential solutions
- understands that physical activity helps one cope with stress and tension
- understands and can apply basic procedures of accident prevention and emergency care
- has begun to strengthen self esteem as he or she develps various physical skills
- recognizes the potential danger of using chemical substances and acts responsibly
- has developed an understanding of the biology and psychology of human sexuality
- has learned the value of and need for self-discipline through physical conditioning
