Welcome to Loyola Academy!
It is my privilege to lead Loyola Academy—the largest Jesuit high school in the United States. Our dedication to the Jesuit mission is as vibrant today as when our doors first opened on the Loyola University campus in 1909. We are part of a nearly 500-year-old Jesuit education tradition which seeks to form women and men for others in service and leadership for the world in imitation of Christ. We form graduates who are open to growth, intellectually competent, religious, loving, physically fit, and committed to doing justice.
St. Ignatius of Loyola insists that if we are attentive to our lives, we will come to appreciate the presence of God in all things. At Loyola Academy, we commit ourselves to study, service and prayer to heighten our awareness of the abiding presence of God. Attentive to God’s call, we desire to respond in generosity and loving service.
I invite you to explore our special community via this website.
In Christ, Rev. Patrick E. McGrath, S.J. President
