The Flavors of Fall

Ramblers representing nearly 40 cocurricular clubs served up a tantalizing array of edibles and potables on October 26 during our lunchtime Fall Flavor Fest in the West Gym. The club members sold Lou Malnati’s pizza, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, egg rolls, fried rice and more, which our hungry students washed down with root beer floats and Ramune (a Japanese soda) and topped off with sweet treats such as giant lollipops and slices of Portillo’s chocolate cake. Not surprisingly, the chocolate cake was our top-selling item, pulling in more than 1,100 food tickets.

It's Powder Puff Season!

Seniors prevail 4:1

On October 25, 112 women from our junior and senior classes competed against each other in Loyola’s annual Powder Puff Football Game. Despite wind, rain and chilly temperatures, the women played their hearts out as they learned to block, run routes, throw a spiral, catch passes and more, while being coached by senior and junior members of the Men’s Varsity Football Team and cheered on by a hardy contingent of fans. The senior team prevailed over the junior team 4:1.
