The French trip affords a cultural experience for students and a unique opportunity to enhance their linguistic skills. Students visit historical and cultural landmarks in one or more European Francophone countries—France, Belgium, Switzerland—and participate in various hands-on cultural and linguistic activities.

Students enrolled in a French class are eligible for this trip, which is offered every other spring break during even years.

The China trip is designed for students to experience Chinese culture and history and to use the language in real-life situations. Loyola students visit the Great Wall, the Terra Cotta Warriors and other historical landmarks. Students have the opportunity to visit a Chinese high school and attend cultural classes.

The three-week Classics Tour of both Greece and Italy offers an in-depth experience for students of Greek and Latin who are rising juniors or seniors. As the oldest continually-run tour at Loyola (for over thirty years!), this trip is unique because it enables students to earn academic credit for Honors Classical Civilization. Students write journal entries, complete group assignments, take quizzes, and work on projects to earn their credit.

The Classics Tour is offered to all students of Greek and Latin and is held every other summer in odd years.

In this Spanish trip to Seville and Madrid, students attend a three-hour Spanish class in the morning and participate in excursions in the afternoon. They visit the Royal Palace, a flamenco show and a Gothic cathedral, where they have an opportunity to attend a Mass in Spanish.

This trip is offered to all students enrolled in Honors Spanish 3 or higher and is held every other spring break during even years.

This is a Spanish Immersion trip. The destination has been in Costa Rica in recent years, but it may potentially change to another Spanish-speaking country in the future. Students participate in a variety of cultural experiences and guided instruction is provided primarily in the target language of Spanish.

This trip is offered to all freshmen, sophomores and juniors enrolled in a Spanish class and is offered every other summer during odd years.

This trip allows students to immerse themselves in England's literary heritage, rich culture, and compelling history. Students visit central London (including the Tower of London, the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace, the British Museum, and Westminster Abbey), Windsor, and Cambridge or Oxford. Students tour sites associated with important British authors, including Shakespeare, Braham Stoker, and the Bronte sisters.

This trip is offered to all sophomore, junior and senior students and is held every other spring break during odd years.

As part of the KINO Border Initiative, a ministry of the US West Province of the Society of Jesus, students stay in Nogales, Arizona and cross the border daily into Nogales, Mexico. Students learn first-hand about the complex issue of immigration, specifically at the U.S.-Mexico border. The emphasis is on building bridges of friendship and cross-cultural understanding. Students hear accounts from immigrants, border patrol agents, and missionaries who serve the immigrant populations.

This service experience is offered to resigning seniors who are accepted through an application process. The trip is offered annually in June as part of the Summer Service program.

International tours allow music students to visit significant, music-related sites while providing the unique opportunity for cultural immersion and high-quality performances. Past tours include destinations such as Italy.
