Loyola Academy, the largest Jesuit school in the United States, is a member of the Jesuit network that consists of more than 1,000 schools throughout the world. When the Society of Jesus was founded in 1540, St. Ignatius of Loyola encouraged Jesuits to travel to other parts of the world in order to serve and "save souls." In his encyclical Laudata si (2015), Pope Francis reminds us that the world is our common home.
