Artist Mardy Sears will display her work in an exhibition entitled "I will miss you more than I know" in the Performing Arts Center Gallery from October 18 to November 12. Ms. Sears has worked in the Prints and Drawings Department at the Art Institute of Chicago for the last 17 years and lives in Evanston. Her delicate and magical works on paper include large-scale prints and hand-made artist books featuring endangered animals. Whales, wolves, birds, and other creatures are combined with calligraphy and letter forms with a poetic and profound artistic vision. Please join us as on Friday, October 18, at 7:00 p.m. for an opening reception as we toast the artist. Wine and beer will be served.
