PushCoin: Dining Services Payment System
Loyola employs a checkout point-of-sale (POS) system that allows parents to deposit money on their child's LA student ID card. This system allows students to use pre-deposited funds when making payments for food and beverages. Using PushCoin's online portal, parents are able to fund their child's meal account. Please note that LA diners may not use credit or debit cards to pay for food in the Cafeteria and Student Center Cafe. Checks are not accepted at any location.
All Ramblers are able to purchase food in the Cafeteria, Student Center Cafe and/or school-wide concession stands using cash, scanning their LA ID card or entering their student ID number via the provided pin-pad, which is linked to the individual student's PushCoin Wallet account.
Signing Up with PushCoin
Returning students will access and use their pre-existing PushCoin account.
Please follow these steps to create and link your parent account to your student(s):
Note: Upon your child's enrollment at Loyola Academy, the PushCoinPOS automatically delivered a "Registration Code," associated with your child, to the email address the school has on file. Following the instructions below, use this Registration Code to enroll your child in the system and fund his or her wallet account.
- Go to www.pushcoin.com (or click the tile on your resource board). Use the latest internet browsers as they are the most secure.
- Sign up as a parent or guardian. Either click, "I don't have an account" and fill out the form, or use an accelerated sign up by clicking the Facebook, Gmail, LinkedIn or Hotmail links. Note: if you use accelerated sign up, the email address associated with that account must be the same as the email address you have on file with Loyola.
- Add your student(s) to your PushCoin account by selecting "Add Student." Enter the unique PushCoin Registration Code that was sent to you directly from PushCoin via email, or use the "I don't have a code" function and enter the required fields. If you cannot locate the unique registration code and you are using the "I don't have a code" function you must use the email address you have on file with Loyola.
- Information about the student should appear on the screen. Verify the information is correct and select "Confirm."
Funding Your Student's PushCoin Account
The PushCoin funding portal is currently open and available to begin accepting funds immediately. Please note, any monies that were left in your student's PushCoin wallet from last year will still be available for use. You may fund your student's account for free using an electronic check or for a fee with credit card. Either way, please use the steps below:
- Set up your payment method by clicking on "Accounts" and then click on "Add Source"
- The electronic or eCheck funding option is free of charge.
- Debit or Credit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover) may also be used to fund PushCoin accounts. There is an additional fee of 2.9% plus $0.25 per transaction to use credit or debit cards. This fee is charged by the card processor. You will be able to see the total cost before submitting the transaction.
- To add funds to your student wallet/lunch account, click "Students" and "Fund Wallet."
- Regardless of funding method, there is a $35 minimum deposit required for each PushCoin Wallet transaction.
- If you wish to give your student a (paper) check to deposit into a PushCoin Wallet, your student must handle that transaction at the Food Services Director's office or at any checkout in the Cafeteria.
- Please note that Loyola does not run "tabs." All goods must be paid for in real time via ID card or cash. PushCoin accounts will not be allowed to go negative, so please plan accordingly.
