Choirs Present "The Distance Between Heaven and Earth"

Loyola Academy Choirs presented their concert, "The Distance Between Heaven and Earth," on Thursday, October 12. The concert explored themes of interpersonal, aspirational, and ethical distance through the words of poets and lyricists from Langston Hughes to Adele and across the music of gospel, jazz, classical, and pop artists.

In preparing the music, students reflected on questions such as: "Where are we now? Where/who do we hope to be? And what do we gain, risk, and sacrifice along the way?"
