IHSA State Swimming and Diving Championships

The Lady Ramblers brought their talents to the FMC Natatorium to race for the last time this season at the IHSA State Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday, November 15 and Saturday, November 16.

After the prelims concluded on Friday, the Ramblers advanced in all three relays along with five individual swims for finals the following day. The Ramblers entered the finals session projected to finish in 9th place. Once the waters settled, the Ramblers surged to a 7th place finish out of a field of nearly 250 programs participating in the IHSA Series—that includes both Sectionals and State! This was the highest finish for the Lady Ramblers since 2016. Here are the results from last weekend:

*200 Freestyle: Reilly O'Hara '25, 12th

*50 Freestyle: Lia Roggi '28 12th, Sophia Friestedt '27 13th

100 Butterfly: Maria Cheng '25 19th, Melanie Angelov, '25 42nd

100 Freestyle: Lia Roggi '25 18th, Kinsley Fitzgerald '27 37th

*500 Freestyle: Reilly O'Hara '25 13th

*200 FR (Friestedt '27, Andrew '25, O'Hara '25, Fitzgerald '27) 12th

100 Backstroke: Maria Cheng '25 4th, Georgia Andrew '25 17th

*400 FR (Roggi '28, Friestedt '27, Andrew '25, O'Hara '25) 10th
