Ramblerettes Updates

On Sunday, January 19, the Loyola Academy Ramblerettes and Cheerleading programs hosted the 9th annual Catholic League Cheer & Dance Championship. Additionally, the Varsity Ramblerettes are State Bound!
With 30 cheer and dance teams in attendance, the event was a great success and helped to unite Catholic school spirit programs from around the Chicagoland area. For the 6th time in CLDC history, the Ramblerettes are Conference Champions! Both the JV and Varsity teams took home first place with their highest scores of the season. Additionally, six Ramblerettes were named All Conference Athletes: Mary Kate Auer '25, Meaghan Barrio '25, Sofia Cabrales '25, Camille Cox '25, Jillian Grinko '25, and Alexandra McMaster '25.
 
The Varsity team also competed on Saturday, January 25 at IHSA Sectionals hosted by Libertyville High School. The team placed in the top 6 and will advance to the IHSA Competitive Dance State Championship in Bloomington on Friday, January 31. The team will be competing against the top 30 teams in the state in the 3A division. Rambler fans can livestream the competition through the NFHS network when the team performs at 5:38 p. m. The team is coached by Kerry Dubay and Ashley Caissie and led by senior captains Sofia Cabrales '25 and Meaghan Barrio '25.
 
Following the State tournament, the Ramblerettes will be competing at the National Dance Alliance High School Nationals competition in Orlando, Florida over President’s Day weekend.  
 
The JV team closed the season on Sunday, January 26 as they competed for the last time at the JV Championship hosted by Glenbrook South.
