Boys' Varsity Basketball Wins Holiday Hoopfest Tournament in Naples
The boys’ varsity basketball team won the Gulfshore Holiday Hoopfest, held in Naples, Florida, for the second year in a row! Throughout the four day tournament, Loyola Academy fans represented the largest fan base despite being the team farthest from home. Among Loyola’s dedicated fans was Principal Kathryn M. Baal, PhD.

Sophomore brothers Jordan and Bennett Kwiecinski, who stand at a towering 6’7”, provided key minutes and a few huge dunks during the games. Connor Barrett ’19 scored 14 points per game, earning him a spot on the First Team All-Tournament Team. Senior Kevin Cunningham was named the tournament MVP for his outstanding performance.
