Join us for an engaging discussion on the complexities of human nature through the lens of St. Augustine, led by Loyola Academy’s own Theology teacher, Matthew Knotts. We’ll explore themes from Knotts’ latest work, On Interrogation, Introspection, Dialectic and the Ineluctable Polarity of Being and Knowing, which situates Augustine’s anthropology within the philosophical traditions of ancient Rome. Knotts highlights Augustine’s relentless intellectual curiosity and unending questions, offering a unique historical-critical and philosophical-theological examination of Augustine’s thoughts on humanity’s nature and purpose.
