BASEBALL

At Loyola: Earned four varsity letters, two each in football and baseball...pitching record of 14-5 with 5 saves and a 1.49 ERA in 127 innings... struck out 160...as a senior, posted a 7-2 record with a 1.13 era and 81k's in 62 2/3 innings of work...earned all-area honors in baseball as a senior along with being named Honorable Mention All-state.

At University of Illinois: Four-year player for the Fighting Illini...ranks first in Big Ten career saves (15) and Big Ten season saves (7)...ranks second in Big Ten career appearances (33)...ranks sixth in all-time Big Ten season appearances (13)...ranks tenth in all-time career appearances (69).
