Ramblers Secure Second Place in GCAC Championship, Advance to Sectionals
On Saturday, May 4, Loyola hosted the GCAC Track Championship, where our team secured an impressive second-place finish in the GCAC Track and Field Championship. The performance by the girls' track and field team was the most impressive in school history, breaking four conference records.
The girls delivered outstanding performances, achieving the highest number of season bests and personal records in school history during this meet. Remarkably, we scored in all but one event, demonstrating the depth and strength of our team. Notably, Ashley Banaszek '24 emerged as the GCAC Trip Jump Champion.
Good luck to the team as they compete in the IHSA Sectional Championship on Wednesday, May 8, at Deerfield High School.
