Loyola Boys' Tennis Team Triumphs at CCL Tournament
Fresh from securing 5th place out of 16 teams at the NaperValley Invitational, the LA Boys' Tennis team showcased its dominance by defending its title at the CCL tournament. The squad amassed a total of 46 points, surpassing the runner-up St. Ignatius, which earned 32 points.
In four out of the five flights, Loyola clinched the top spot without dropping a set. Seniors James Sohigian in 2 Singles, Dan Birmingham and Sam Cho in 1 Doubles, Will Schirmang and Stephen Ryan in 2 Doubles, and juniors Brendan Prassas and Sam Thompson in 3 Doubles all secured victories.
The MVP of the day was Daniel Sullivan '25, who claimed 3rd place in 1 Singles, stepping up significantly for PJ Barry '26 and contributing to the team's title defense.
