Under their leadership, club membership has more than doubled, with over 70 students competing at Regionals this year. Their behind-the-scenes efforts—including managing dues, registrations, and competition logistics—have been essential to students' success.
Beyond DECA, Mr. Peterson also moderates the Entrepreneurship Club, where he has guided students in developing and launching three small businesses within the Loyola community. From crafting pitch decks to building online presence and managing marketing strategies, his mentorship has provided students with invaluable real-world experience in business development.
For thirteen years, Mrs. Aufderheide has led Art Club, providing a dynamic space for student leaders to explore various artistic mediums. She encourages students to take ownership of the club’s direction, empowering them to develop confidence and creativity.
Ms. Krebs has been the dedicated moderator of Loyola’s Scholastic Bowl team for ten years, with her deep knowledge and love for the sport serving as the foundation of our program. In addition to mentoring new moderators, she organizes the annual Middle School Scholastic Bowl Tournament for Catholic grade schools and the prestigious Ultima Tournament, which draws over 50 teams. She recruits and trains readers and scorekeepers while ensuring Loyola's teams are well-prepared for competition. Thanks to her leadership, our teams have consistently advanced to state and national competitions, a testament to her dedication and expertise.
Mrs. Riggs brings heartfelt dedication to her role as moderator of Meditation Club, where she champions student well-being by promoting mindfulness and stress management techniques.
