Ramblers Immerse Themselves in Spanish Culture During Spring Break Trip to Sevilla

Over spring break, twelve Loyola Academy students traveled to Spain as part of Loyola's Global Studies Program. The group spent the week in Sevilla immersed in Spanish language and culture, taking Spanish classes at Centro MundoLengua, a language school based in the city. Students visited historic sites such as the Cathedral of Sevilla, the Alcázar, and the Plaza de España. They also participated in cultural activities like paella making, flamenco lessons, olive oil tasting, tile painting, and learning about the history of ceramics in Sevilla. The group traveled to Córdoba to visit the famous Mezquita, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The next trip to Sevilla is planned for Easter Break 2027 and will be open to upper-level Spanish students.

Loyola Academy is pleased to offer a variety of culturally rich experiences for students. International travel provides an opportunity to immerse oneself in the language, lifestyle, and beauty of another culture. To learn more about the Global Studies Program, click here.
