Girls' Varsity Golf Team at IHSA 2A Regional
The Loyola girls' varsity golf team showcased their skills at the IHSA 2A regional tournament held at Glenview Golf Club, finishing tied for 7th place. The standout performers, Abbey Riekse '26 and Macy Schultz '26, not only led the team but also earned spots in the upcoming IHSA sectional on October 7 at Bonnie Dundee Golf Club.
This season has been commendable for the entire team, and their collective effort deserves recognition. Special thanks go to Coach Madison Banas '16 and Coach Rick Groessl for their exceptional leadership and commitment to the girls golf program.
Congratulations to Abbey and Macy on their advancement, and best of luck in the sectional competition! Overall, a solid performance from the team, marking a promising future for Loyola golf.
