Boys' Varsity Golf Team Earns 3rd at IHSA Regionals
On Wednesday, October 2, at the Glencoe Golf Club, the boys' varsity golf team took home third place at the IHSA Regionals with a score of 312.
Drew Southwell '25 and Ben Riekse '26 both scored 74 for a four-way 2nd place tie. Riekse finished the day with back-to-back birdies on the 17th and 18th holes. Charlie Kasten '25 really turned his game around by making 2 birdies and 4 pars on his last 7 holes.
The Ramblers have advanced to the IHSA Sectionals on Monday, October 7, at Heritage Oaks Golf Club in Northbrook, giving them the opportunity to qualify for state. The team has not qualified for state since the 2019 season and aims to break that streak.
Update: Despite a strong effort, the boys' golf team finished eighth in a highly competitive sectional, falling short of advancing to the state finals. Congratulations to the entire team on a great season!
