Boys' Swimming Sectionals Updates

Congratulations to our Boys' Swimming team on a 2nd place finish at the IHSA Sectional Meet. The team had an absolutely incredible day filled with huge time drops, lifetime best performances, and program records. 
The following qualified for the State Championship meet: 200 Medley Relay (Velizar Filipov '26, Devon Bone '26, Gus Koh '25, Luke Helm '25), 200 freestyle (Luke Friestedt '25), 200 IM (Tommy Gardy '26), 50 free (Luke Helm '25), 100 butterfly (Gus Koh '25, Velizar Filipov '26), 100 free (Devon Bone '26), 200 free relay (Emi Murguia '25, Tommy Gardy '26, Luke Friestedt '25, Luke Helm '25), 100 back  (Gus Koh '25, Velizar Filipov '26), 100 breast (Devon Bone '26), 400 free Relay (Gus Koh '25, Velizar Filipov '26, Luke Helm '25, Devon Bone '26).
Special congratulations to Velizar Filipov '26 for breaking the Niles North pool record in the 100 back. The 200 Medley Relay set a new team record and Devon Bone '26 broke his own team record in the 100 breast!
