Ramblers in Loyola's Orchesis Dance Company lit up the stage on Friday, February 7, and Saturday, February 8, during a spectacular performance in the McGrath Family Performing Arts Center. This annual performance celebrated the talent and hard work of our dancers, featuring student-choreographed routines in contemporary, jazz, and hip-hop.
Below, hear from Mya Ortiz '28 and Madison Moll '26 reflect on their experiences performing in this year's show.
Congratulations on a stunning performance, Ramblers! Check out a recording of the concert here.
Rambler Reflections: "My time in Orchesis was amazing. We spent so much time preparing for each of our dances, making sure they were clean and well-structured. We also had plenty of bonding time, which helped us get to know each other better. Tech week was just as exciting, as we rehearsed our dances nonstop. Building my choreography and working with dancers to create art was both fun and a great learning experience for them and for me as a choreographer. Overall, my time in Orchesis was an incredible experience." - Mya Ortiz '28
"Being a part of Orchesis was an incredible experience; from rehearsals to our last performance, everyone grew and worked together. There was always high passion and energy throughout all the dances, and I feel truly honored to have danced and worked with such talented girls. Each piece was unique, and choreography sometimes pushed me and other dancers out of our comfort zones, but everyone could support each other and overcome thought boundaries. The encouragement from everyone built a genuinely unbreakable bond and community of amazing, strong girls I’m so proud to have been a part of." — Madison Moll '26
