Photographs by Jonathan Hernandez '25 (Teen Burnout) and Annie Loeb '25 (Hidden Figures) have been selected for the juried Student Perspectives 2024 Show. The Perspective Photography Gallery, located at 1310 1/2B Chicago Avenue in Evanston, received over 500 images from Chicago area high school student artists. The show was juried by Nate Matthew. The show opens on May 2, with the opening reception and award ceremony on May 4, and runs through May 26. Find out more at https://perspectivegallery.org/.
Additionally, Jonathan's work received an award in the juried Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for the Chicago Region in the photography category. For this award, jurors looked for work with originality, skill, and the emergence of a personal voice or vision. The awards and exhibition will be on Wednesday, April 10, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Columbia College Chicago Student Center.
