Varsity Girls' Basketball News
Congratulations to the varsity girls basketball team! Their hard work and commitment has paid off to have a perfect regular season finishing 31-0. It's a remarkable achievement to excel in sports, demonstrating dedication, and teamwork. We are very fortunate to have two girls score 1,000 career points: senior Paige Engels and junior Aubrey Galvan.
Other highlights included a last second shot at the buzzer to defeat Evanston High School by our 2 year sophomore starter Clare Weasler. The team took first place in both the New Trier Thanksgiving Tournament and also the 1st annual Loyola Christmas Tournament. This team has also just secured first place in the GCAG Conference Tournament defeating Montini High School.
All Conference selections included sophomore Clare Weasler, junior Aubrey Galvan, senior Kelsey Langston and the highest achievement of Player of the Year went to senior Paige Engels.
Lastly, Coach Schoenecker has achieved the most winning record with his 356 varsity win!
