Privacy Policy

Loyola Academy has created this policy to demonstrate our commitment to your privacy. We do not collect Personally Identifying Information about you when you visit our site, unless you choose to voluntarily provide such information to us by completing an online form, survey or sending us an email, so that we can serve the user’s needs and our legitimate business purposes.

No information within goramblers.org is shared or sold to enterprises outside of our school, unless stated at time of submission.

What information do we ask for?

Loyola Academy asks site visitors for information when they use the following sections of our site:

Loyola Academy Community Login System (students, parents, alumni, faculty and staff)
Registrations for events and programs
Purchases

Information which we request and store:

name (first, last, middle)
relation to student(s)
address (house number, city, state, zip)
phone numbers (home, work, mobile)
email address
business information
family information (siblings, children, spouses)
Loyola Academy associations (friends, relatives)

Information which we request and do not store:

credit card information (account number, card type, CVV value)
social security number

How do we secure information and transactions?

Hardware security
Goramblers.org is hosted offsite of Loyola Academy in a secure, monitored environment. The site is protected by multiple firewalls, which help to prevent hacking.

Software security
Our site is backed up every night. Site pages that request form entry information from visitors, employees, alumni, parents and students are protected through secure socket layer SSL. Online payment information is secured by Blackbaud Merchant Services. Each form page loads with the https URL prefix.

Database security
All database content is backed up on a nightly basis. Information is kept secure through password-protected logins for employees, alumni, parent and student accounts.

Cookies

Like many websites, Loyola Academy uses “cookies” to collect information when your web browser accesses the site. Cookies are files that are stored on your device or computer’s hard drive and hold a small amount of data. Log Files

Loyola Academy uses Google Analytics to analyze website traffic and trends. Information monitored includes but is not limited to, IP addresses, geographic locations of visitors, browser type, platform type, ISP. This information is anonymous and cannot be linked to any individual user.
Opting Out

The “My Loyola” portal site is designed for students, current parents, faculty, staff and alumni. Users have the opportunity to opt-out of receiving communications from Loyola Academy. In the global navigation bar, click your name > settings > notifications. Users may choose to receive specific communication or none at all. You may also update your contact information, but you cannot remove yourself from Loyola’s database. Publications

Loyola uses photographs and/or video of students and families on its website, in brochures, in press releases and other similar materials. This is also true of student work and quotes. Such materials help give people a sense of how Loyola carries out the mission of the school. If a student and/or a family wish that they not be included in such materials, please submit a written request to the Principal’s Office.
