The Power of Our Rambler Community

Parents and guardians are an integral part of the Loyola Academy community. There are many opportunities where we invite you to share your talents and get involved in the life of the school beyond your student's classroom. 
Below is a sample of events the RPO traditionally holds each year. Please check the school calendar for confirmed 2024–25 events.

  • Parent Welcome Mixer

    Parents of upperclassmen will help welcome the new parents to Loyola, introduce new parents to each other to facilitate "breaking the ice," and learn about the many ways parents can get involved at Loyola.
  • Grandparent & Student Mass and Reception

    Current students welcome their grandparents to Loyola to celebrate Mass followed by a reception in the West Gym.
  • Open House

    Hosted by the Admissions department, RPO members assist at Open House to help make a great impression on prospective Ramblers and their families.
  • RPO Oktoberfest

    A fun-filled Oktoberfest-styled celebration exclusively for parents! Enjoy an evening of delicious food, music, and great company.
  • St. Nick’s Mass & Holiday Party

    Rambler parents will begin their evening with a Mass followed by a Christmas party in the East Gym. Food and adult beverages will be served. On display for sale will be specialty items from Loyola’s Bookstore and the RPO.
  • Mom Prom OR Dinner Dance for Daughters and Dads (D4)

    Rotating annually, Moms share a special night with their Rambler sons OR Dads share a special night with their Rambler daughters.
  • Faculty & Staff Appreciation Week

    Loyola’s faculty and staff dedicate their professional lives to helping our Rambler grow spiritually and academically. In partnership with Student Activities, this event gives RPO members an opportunity to show appreciation for all their hard work.  RPO volunteers are needed to provide food and beverage service for the faculty/staff breakfast.
  • Ramble

    While not a RPO hosted event, we invite all parents to get involved in the school’s largest Tuition Assistance fundraiser. Please consider sharing your existing talents or maybe you want to try developing a new one...we invite you to sign up and get involved today.
  • Family Mass & Morning of Service

    Take advantage of this opportunity to the great Jesuit tradition of giving back to those less fortunate. Our annual Mass and morning of service brings our Rambler families together to work on projects that directly benefit communities in need throughout the Chicagoland area.
  • Mothers Connect and Celebrate

    Spring is here and it's time to reconnect. Let's celebrate mothers of graduating seniors, welcome mothers of incoming freshmen and everyone in between! You will not want to miss this evening of food, friendship and farewells.

Rambler Parent Organization (RPO) Mission Statement

The Rambler Parent Organization is a volunteer organization that serves the spiritual, educational, and social needs of the Loyola Academy community. The organization and its members participate in the life of Loyola Academy and provide physical, emotional, spiritual and financial resources where and when they are needed by the community. All Loyola Academy parents and guardians are members. Become an active member, and enjoy opportunities to meet other Loyola parents, deepen your Faith and partner with us in support of Loyola's time-honored tradition of Jesuit education.
